Women Rainmakers to take San Diego by Storm

Women attorneys representing many practice areas will have the opportunity to learn, mentor, and share experiences at the ABA Women Rainmakers Mid-Career Workshop, “Conform No More: Navigate your Own Course.” The workshop will take place at the US Grant Hotel in San Diego, CA, on November 7-8.

“We conceived this workshop to act as a ‘compass’ that a mid-career attorney will be able to take with her and use to blaze her own path as a modern rainmaker,” said L. Leona Frank, the 2014 Women Rainmakers Workshop Chair.  “Workshop attendees will get to network with national experts and receive valuable resources regarding personal and professional development, rainmaking and time and practice management.”

The keynote speakers are

  • Paula E. Boggs, former General Counsel for Starbucks Corporation
  • Paulette Brown, ABA President-Elect, Partner and Chief Diversity Officer of Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP
  • Linda A. Klein, Managing Shareholder of Baker Donelson’s Georgia office

Registrants have the opportunity to meet with a professional coach for a one-on-one coaching session. Interested lawyers can register online at the Early Bird price until October 24, 2014, or contact Marisol Massini at lpmeetings@americanbar.org. This is the fourth biannual event sponsored by the ABA Law Practice Division.
