Congratulations to Bob Young of English Lucas Priest & Owsley LLP, the new ABA Law Practice Division’s Chair for 2014-2015.
[Young’s] law practice focuses on medical malpractice, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.
In his role as chair, Young will have several national speaking opportunities, including the ABA Women Rainmakers Mid-Career Workshop Nov. 7-8 in San Diego. He will also write a column for six issues of Law Practice magazine, which is published by the division.
“My focus this year will be on helping attorneys keep up with all of the many ways the practice of law is changing,” Young said. “Besides the many advances in technology that are available to attorneys, we’ve seen a big increase in the number of young lawyers in particular starting their own firms. I’d like to help attorneys become more technology proficient, whether they’re just getting started in the practice or have been at it for decades. My goal is for more attorneys to see our division as a resource, join us and participate and make the practice of law better.”
